UT-2016 is a converter with optoelectronic isolation, complying with RS-232C, RS422, and RS-485 standards; it is the rs232 to rs422 converter / rs485 converter. The built-in optoelectronic isolator can provide:

This protector is designed to protect the RS-422/RS-485 interface, with the advanced TVS (TRANSIENT VOLTAGE SUPPRESSOR) instant voltage restraint. This voltage restraint provides 600W power protection in lightning and surge for each wire, and surge voltage and instant overvoltage protection on the circuit caused by every reason. The tiny interelectrode capacitance ensures high-speed transmission for RS-422/485 ports. RS-232 port connects with RS-232C standard port by DB9 female connector; RS-422/RS-485 adopts DB9 male as a connector. It is an industrial rs232 to rs485 converter.

  This converter has an automatic transmission and reception conversion in no delay, and a unique I/O circuit auto control data flow direction. With these, we don’t need any handshake signal (RTS, DTR) and no jumper settings are required for full-duplex (RS-422) and half-duplex (RS-485) mode, plug & play. It is compatible with current communication software and hardware, no need to re-set the previous working mode based on RS-232.

   UT-2016 optoelectronic isolated converter provides a reliable connection for point-to-point, point-to-multipoint communication. For point to multipoint mode, each converter can connect 32 sets of RS-422 or RS-485 devices, with the baud rate of 300-115.2Kbps, power indicator light and data flow indicator light to indicate fault conditions. And it can support communication methods from RS-232 to RS-422, RS-232 to RS-485 conversion.
